The Soap Lake Police Department was awarded a $60,000 grant this week from the Paul Lauzier Foundation to help them purchase a K9 vehicle.

The agency recently started fundraising for their new K9 officer Billy who is currently training with Sgt. Spencer Nulph.

The Foundation was created in honor of Mr. Lauzier who was a cattle rancher in Grant County along with land development. They also give college scholarships to Grant County students.

The Soap Lake Police Department is still raising money for their K9 program.

There's a link to donate on their Facebook page.
