With just one week until the election, ballots continue to come in across the state at a frenetic pace.

According to the Secretary of State's Office Monday, over 46.4% of all registered voters have returned their ballots statewide.

Chelan County is just slightly better at 46.5%, while Douglas County residents have returned 37.1% of their ballots.

Grant County currently sits at 36.7%, and Okanogan at 34.4%.

The statewide turnout is more than double the 2016 general election at this same point, 8 days to go before the election.

In fact, in 2016 turnout would not reach the current level until 1 day before the election.

Ultimately, 2016 would see 79.4% participation.

The state's record for turnout in a general election is 84.6%, set in 2008.
