Jason Heinz will take on the role of vice president and recently re-elected board member Whitney Smith will continue as legislative representative.

The School Board met privately for 15 minutes Tuesday evening before board member Martin Barron kicked off public action on the selection process.

The job is now posted with the district, and recently hired consulting firm McPherson & Jacobson plans to start advertising the opening soon.

Organizers say it'll be the first time such an event will be held in Eastern Washington, and it'll be the first event of its kind in 3 years.
