The mass vaccination site at the Town Toyota Center began distributing vaccinations Tuesday with the help of the Chelan-Douglas Health District, Washington National Guard, clinical partners and TTC staff.

Administrator Luke Davies said the vaccination site even has preparations in place in case there is an adverse reaction to the Pfizer vaccine, such as anaphylaxis.

"We've got Lifeline here as emergency management services. We have a 15-minute holding area where you're observed." Davies stated, "If you have any type of reaction, they will have paramedics there to help you out immediately and get your to one of our care centers so you can get care immediately. So far it's been pretty smooth sailing with our clinical partners. We're anticipating very few times that's going to be happening."

Davies added that about 100 people were vaccinated Tuesday. Another 400 people will be vaccinated per day Wednesday through Friday.
