Washington Ranked Best State for Millennials

Washington has been ranked as the best state in the nation for millennials.

A newly released study by the personal finance website WalletHub measured each state and the District of Columbia across 34 key metrics, ranging from share of millennials to millennial unemployment rate to millennial voter-turnout rate.

Washington ranked 1^st in affordability, 2nd in economic health and 6^th in quality of life. Oregon came in at 15^th overall, ranking 4^th in civic engagement, while Idaho was 25^th overall.

Millennials, loosely defined as those in their mid-20’s to early 40’s, are responsible for 21% of all discretionary spending in the U.S.
