The Washington Department of Transportation is reuniting a young boy with a stuffed dinosaur he lost while his family traveled over Snoqualmie Pass during the holiday weekend.

WSDOT went on social media to relay the message that someone found the stuffed animal on the side of EB I-90 near the pass Friday.

The agency reported a couple of hours later that they thought they'd found the family that lost the animal, and then confirmed the connection shortly afterward.

WSDOT says they're arranging a reunion as soon as possible with the boy named Kameron and his is stuffed green dinosaur.

The entire sequence from when the agency announced the stuffed animal had been found until the boy's mother responded took just a few hours.

WSDOT expressed its approval of the social media performance, saying, "Sometimes, Facebook, you redeem yourself."
