The Washington State Apple Blossom Festival Art 4 Kidz competition was ultimately postponed until further notice Tuesday, despite some attempts to find a way to still hold the event virtually in mid-May.

Festival Administrator Darci Christoferson said they will hold off on the program until they have more information on Governor Inslee's "Stay Home, Stay Safe" order after May 4th, the order's current expiration date.

"So Art 4 Kidz has been going on for the Festival for over 25 years." Christoferson said, "Kids of all ages from kindergarten to seniors in high school (turn in) different types of art."

Whenever Art 4 Kidz is a go, students will compete in categories such as 2-D black and white, 2-D color, 2-D mixed media, 2-D and 3-D digital art, classic 3-D art, and photography.

Kids will be able to turn in art work virtually so everyone can still be stay safe at home.
