Avalanche Damages Entiat Home

The rapid buildup of snow around North Central Washington is causing avalanches and snow slides in areas across the region.

Manson Volunteer Firefighters are reporting that an avalanche hit a house south of Entiat early this morning. Snow reportedly penetrated the structure but no one was injured.

Entiat Fire Department responded to the incident and is reporting that roads were nearly impassable with several snow slides blocking US 97A, especially south of Knapps Hill Tunnel.
