The Beverly Burke Fire started Monday afternoon and has burned approximately 2000 acres near the communities of Schwana and Beverly in Grant County.

Grant County Sheriff's PIO Kyle Foreman said fire activity has slowed down quite a bit from Monday, and fire personnel has been reduced from 60 to 35.

"Firefighters are going to be doing some more cleanup work along the edges of the fire." detailed Foreman, "Beverly Burke Rd between SR 243 and SR 26 will remain closed throughout the day."

All evacuation notices from the Beverly Burke Fire were lowered to a level 1. Foreman added that although they have not been able to get a good containment number due to mapping, there are plenty of personnel on the fire.
