Parents are invited to grab their witches, vampires and cowboys on Halloween and bring them to the Pioneer Village - but don't forget a canned good.

The Cashmere Museum and Pioneer Village will be hosting the first annual Halloween event that doubles as a food bank with the participation of over 30 businesses, the promise of trick or treating and the entry fee is just canned food. It's early in the evening from 3-5 p.m. and it won't be too scary for little ones who would like to join in on the fun.

"Each cabin and activity tent is hosted by a local business or organization," said Becca Cazzanigi, event coordinator. "So for instance Chelan County County Emergency Management is coming to host the jail and they'll be in uniform...so we have some really fun tie ins."

There will be trick or treat bags provided for those that forget theirs at home.

"It's really brought the whole community together in a really fun and unexpected way," said Cazzanigi.
