Cashmere Chamber of Commerce's annual fall tradition, Scare Crazy, starts next Tuesday, October 1. There will be 100 scarecrows scattered around town for families to hunt down to earn a grand prize.

"The Chamber will have free tour maps of locations and you can pick that up beginning October 1st through October 31st," said Gina Imperato, chamber manager.

The grand prize is various items donated from a handful of Cashmere businesses. Scarecrows will be judged and given an award in four categories: the Grand Champion, Most Creative, Best Ensemble and Best Business Theme.

This can be the event to kick off the fall season for families in the valley.
