Douglas County Commissioners issued a proclamation Wednesday that cleared the path for some construction of homes calling them an essential activity as long as they meet certain criteria.

  • The homes must have a purchase and sale agreement along with a building permit that pre-dates March 27th.
  • The work must be approved by the County Planning Department.
  • Workers must follow social distancing guidelines and other health protection measures on the job.
  • And any walk-throughs or showings must be limited to two people.

The Chelan-Douglas Health District says following social distancing guidelines and other health protections should mitigate any COVID-19 spread.
