Downtown Moses Lake Association is hosting its an annual downtown trick or treat celebration as an in person event, rather than the previously announced drive thru. Businesses will be lined up on the stretch of Third Avenue from Cedar Street to Alder Street.

"We decided to make the switch to in person because we were reviewing CDC guidance and their holiday celebration guidance," said Lexi Smith, executive director. "They were saying with outdoor events, as long you're not confined and crowded, should be pretty safe to do."

Masks and gloves will be provided to participating businesses. The downtown association has also been keeping close tabs on the Grant County Health District COVID-related news.

The association will also host a costume contest on social media, Instagram or Facebook, and folks have until 8 p.m. on October 30 to post a photo, tagging DMLA. Winners will be announced Halloween and will receive gift cards to downtown businesses.

Parking will be available in the downtown corridor.
