East Wenatchee Police served an eviction notice to a home on the 300 block of Eastmont Ave.

Wednesday at the request of the owner of the property. Chief Rick Johnson says they get a lot of calls related to the home, having received more than 200 over the past 15 years.

"Everything from assaults to stabbings, robberies, overdoses. Just about the whole gamut that you can think of related to that residence. It's one we get a lot of calls on from city residents and everyone else wondering what's going on there."

The house has been vacated and boarded up.

Johnson says there was only supposed to be one tenant of the home who had been in the process of getting evicted for a few months.

"Based on our own experience there we knew there to be much more then just the tenant. I think there was five people in there that morning and we wanted to be safe about getting everyone out of there so we could get it boarded up."

There have been multiple overdoses at the home so far this year.

The plan is to demolish it once they get approval.
