The Eastmont School Board is seeking members of the public to serve as observers during their first round of interviews for the district's next superintendent.

Bill Jordan with Northwest Leadership Associates, who are helping conduct the superintendent search, said the Superintendent Interview Observer Panel will consist of 12 community members and 12 district employees who will listen to each interview and provide feedback to the board.

"How carefully and completely does this person answer the question?" asked Jordan, "What other interaction do they see between the board? Is there a question that stumps this person? Are they connecting with the board? Are they connecting with the other people in the room?"

Each observer must be available from 3:30 pm to 9:00 pm February 15th and 17th. A maximum of eight interviews could be conducted over the two days.
