Eastmont Parks and Recreation has two to die for evenings planned on October 25 and 26. Zombies will be roaming the Eastmont Park Baseball Fields and the only way to eradicate the unwanted visitors is with paintball guns, provided by parks and recreation.

"People will come and we'll have stationary paintball guns set up and people can shoot zombies that are roaming around the baseball field at Eastmont Park," said Charlie Brown, director of recreation and marketing. "There's also going to be a kids carnival with 10-15 games for kids to participate in and get little prizes and candies."

The hunt and fun after will be from 7-11 on both nights. A purchase of $10 will cover participating in the zombie hunt. The carnival and other assorted activities, such as zombie flag football, are free. There will also be concessions available at the event.

"This is kind of our first year, but we're looking to expand and grow this over the next few year," said Brown.

According to Brown, if folks want to be Team Zombie, parks and recreation is currently seeking volunteers to act as zombies. Some would be shot by paintball guns, but protective equipment will be provided.
