Eastmont's registration period for new students begins March 1st, with a kindergarten registration event planned that day at the district office from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm.

Parents of new students can drop off their registration forms at the district office.

Forms are available at the district office or at eastmont206.org. All new students' registration requires a birth certificate, immunization records, proof of residence and parent ID.

When parents complete the registration they will get a letter that states which school their child has been placed as well as important dates and information regarding the upcoming school year. As the school year gets closer, parents will learn who their child's teacher is.

Executive Director of Elementary Education Spencer Taylor said registration is especially important for kindergarten students and parents.

"We also provide a kindergarten readiness document that gives parents some things that they can work on with their child to make sure they are ready to succeed the next school year," said Taylor.

Taylor hopes school will return to normal in the fall, but he said that has yet to be determined.
