Ellensburg Police Arrest Teen in Connection to Fentanyl Overdose

A 17-year-old Ellensburg resident is in custody for the overdose death of 16-year-old Lauren Larson in September.

According to the Ellensburg Police Department, the suspect was arrested Monday and recommended charges including controlled substance homicide and making false or misleading statements to law enforcement. The suspect has been released to the custody of the Kittitas County Juvenile Services Department.

Larson died after taking a counterfeit Percocet pill that contained fentanyl. At the time, it was the 6th fentanyl-related death in the area this year.
