Vail Resorts, owner of Steven's Pass and other destination sites, has an Epic Schoolkids program with a deadline, October 13th, to sign up on the horizon.
The Epic SchoolKids program isn't available for the Steven Pass location, but at the largest ski resort in North America, Whistler Blackcomb in British Columbia. If parents have secured the EPIC pass, which offers access to 65 resorts including Steven's Pass and Whistler Blackcomb, this could be an opportunity to get the kiddos in the snow and take advantage of the pass.
"It's a great gateway into the sport," said Marc Riddell, Communications Director. "There's no purchase required to register your child for the program."
The free five day program is for Washington State and Canadian kids in grades kindergarten through fifth and comes with one free lesson and one free equipment rental. Parents aren't required to be a pass holder.
"It provides five free days of skiing and riding for the child. So we think it's a real great program and a really good way to bring new folks into the sport that may not try it out," said Riddell. "It provides an affordable option for families that want to come up and ski at WB (Whistler Blackcomb)."
