Future voters congregated in the Riverside Center in Cashmere Monday afternoon for a chance to hear from governor candidate and current police chief of Republic, Loren Culp. Culp shared his stance on issues and discussed his path to decided to run for governor.

"I was invited down here to Cashmere to talk to these fine folks about my campaign for governor and what I stand for," said Culp. "Which is more freedom, less government restrictions and less taxes and that's kind of resonating with a lot of people around the state."

Guests could mill around and enjoy refreshments beforehand, a prayer was conducted by a pastor to get the evening meet and greet started and Culp's book, American Cop: Upholding the Constitution and Defending Your Right to Bear Arms, was available.
