Grant County Commissioners Asking for Extreme Caution with Fireworks

Grant County Commissioners says they are reviewing the weather forecasts for this weekend and are asking residents to be extremely cautious with campfires, fireworks, safety chains on towed vehicles, and other possible ignition sources.

County code does permit an emergency ban on sale and discharge of fireworks, but as now, they are not implementing one.

They say if conditions worsen, a prohibition is likely.

Moses Lake Fire crews will be conducting a prescribed burn Wednesday morning at the end of W. Hill Ave. in preparation of the Freedom Festival show Sunday night.
