An internal investigation of the Grant County Sheriff's Office has revealed no wrongdoing by Chief Deputy Ken Jones after allegations of leave and timecard discrepancies related to his off-duty work.

According to the department, the investigation was made by Wenatchee Police Captain Edgar Reinfeld, who submitted his findings to Grant County Undersheriff and Hearing Officer Ryan Rectenwald. Rectenwald then determined Jones was exonerated of any wrongdoing, a decision supported by Sheriff Tom Jones, who now considers the matter closed.

Reinfeld also noted some flaws inherent to the department's timekeeping process and recommended changes going forward.

Our newspartner iFIBER ONE reported that former Chief Deputies Dustin Canfield and Darrik Gregg both resigned over the sheriff’s initial handling of the investigation.
