Lake Wenatchee Fire & Rescue Testing Evacuation Sirens Wednesday

Lake Wenatchee Fire & Rescue is testing its evacuation sirens Wednesday.

The department's announced it's testing the emergency devices at Station 92, Chiwawa Pines, and Station 94, Ponderosa Community at 12 noon.

Evacuation sirens will be heard in the Chiwawa Pines neighborhood, Thousand Trails Campground, Shugart Flats, Ponderosa Community, and some sections of River Road.

Lake Wenatchee Fire & Rescue says the exercise is only a test, but is reminding residents to remember the sound for later in the summer when it would mean it's time to evacuate the area.
