Local Libraries Partnering to Present Author Cristina Henríquez Thursday

Wenatchee Valley College Libraries is partnering with NCW Libraries to present a discussion with author Cristina Henríquez Thursday, April 15th at 7:00 pm via zoom.

WVC Director of Libraries Jeannie Henkle said Henríquez is the author of "The Book of Unknown Americans", an award-winning novel that covers the experiences of immigrants in America.

"What we were hoping was to promote growth and empathy for the students that we have and also the staff and faculty that are part of our WVC community." explained Henkle, "We wanted to really choose a work that focused on a group that is present in our area and sometimes not well understood."

The event will last about an hour and will finish with audience questions.
