Man Caught During Attempted Carjacking While Running From Moses Lake Police

A man police call a violent felon faces additional charges after trying to flee Moses Lake officers in a stolen car Tuesday afternoon.

Officers say Salvador Harguideguy tried to carjack a vehicle while running from police who had spotted him walking in a residential area.

They caught up with Harguideguy and drug him from the vehicle he was attempting to carjack while there were two kids in the back seat.

They were assisted by the vehicle's driver and a passerby, who helped prevent Harguideguy from driving away from the scene.

He was arrested for robbery and attempted car theft in addition to his already existing charges that included assault, burglary and stealing a gun.
