Kids can tap into their creative side with the NCW Mobility Council's Kids Holiday Design Contest. It's free for kids ages 5-12 to participate.

"What we're asking is that the kids' design a new mode of transportation for Santa," said Maggie Kaminoff co-chair of the Mobility Council and Link mobility coordinator. "His sleigh needs to be updated. It's looking a little ragged after all these years so we're looking at a new design for Santa's sleigh."

To participate, folks can go here. The form can be printed or if one doesn't have printer access, kids are encouraged to just use an 8.5” x 11” piece of paper. Winners can receive a prize that could be ice skating tickets, winter lightning sleds, Gateway Cinema movie passes or Eagle Creek Ranch sleigh ride tickets.

"Make sure you put your name, your age and your parents phone number on it so we know who it is," said Kaminoff.

Designs can be submitted in person or via mail to Chelan-Douglas Transportation Council, 11 Spokane St. #301, Wenatchee, WA 98801. The deadline for designs is Monday, December 16 and the winners will be announced December 19.
