Moose Spotted Outside of Moses Lake
A very out of place moose was spotted by a crop duster Tuesday morning east of Moses Lake.
Our news partner iFIBER ONE reports the moose was headed east going towards a sweet cornfield off Road Q around 9:00 am. Matt Monda with Fish and Wildlife says the moose is most likely young and separated from its family, which would explain its sense of direction being off. He added there was a good chance the moose will contact an irrigation canal or fence. Moose that try to ford irrigation canals usually drown.
The moose may have been seen going east, but it likely came from northeastern Washington and will eventually make its way towards the north cascades, if it makes it out of the area alive.
