Moses Lake Police arrested two people Friday, one requiring tear gas, after a carjacking on Marina Dr.

Friday afternoon officer saw a woman trying to stop a car and then being dragged.

The vehicle stopped after a short pursuit and 30-year-old Ruben Sabedra got out of the passenger side of the car and tried to walk away from officers. When he was confronted, he assumed an aggressive posture and was tackled and taken into custody on an outstanding Department of Corrections warrant.

Meanwhile the driver, Miguel Chavez Amezqua, tried to flee and got as far as Commerce St. where he ditched the car and ran into a business. Tear gas was deployed and Chavez Amezqua was taken into custody.

He was booked on multiple counts.
