
Moses Lake Police Remain Busy Arresting Suspected Kidnapper, Capturing Drug Suspects
28-year-old Andres Hernandez was arrested in Moses Lake Tuesday on a kidnapping warrant out of San Antonio.
Moses Lake Police say they also located the 16-year-old victim.
Multiple agencies were looking for Hernandez after receiving tips that he was in Grant County. Sgt. Dean Gaddis found the suspect's vehicle on Grape Drive and after observation, Hernandez was taken into custody and the teen was found nearby.
In addition to the kidnapping warrant, police are investigating Hernandez's local activities and charges are expected in Grant County as well.
In other MLPD news; Moses Lake Police say a late night tryst in a gas station bathroom led to the seizure of two pounds of illegal drugs.
Officers were called to the station on Kittleson Road early Saturday morning after two people entered the bathroom and were in there for a long time, blocking it from other patrons.
When law enforcement arrived, the male gave his brother's name who had a warrant out for his arrest.
When he was taken into custody it was discovered he had cocaine in his pocket.
The two were released pending charges due to current restrictions on the jail.
A subsequent search of their vehicle found meth and heroin. The two suspects are both from Pablo, MT and will face drug charges.
