Names Family Foundation Contributes $20,000 Grant to WVC Athletics

The Wenatchee Valley College Foundation recently received a grant of $20,000 from the Names Family Foundation to support student athletes.

WVC Foundation Executive Director Rachel Evey said they have received similar grants from the Names Family Foundation as well as Beth and Dennis Dobbs in the past. That support has directly led to the renovation of the Smith Gym locker rooms, as well as the Smith Gym floor remodel in 2016.

The names Family Foundation was established in 1996 by Scott and Sis Names. Beth Dobbs is the granddaughter of Scott and Sis Names.

"We're of course extremely thankful for the continued support from the Names Family Foundation and Beth and Dennis Dobbs." Evey said, "It means significant impact for our student athletes and the work they are able to continue here, including travel and academics. They continue to have the highest GPAs from our different departments and groups so it's really exciting to see that community support."
