North Central Educational Service District (NCESD) announced that a handful of NCW schools are participating in activities, like 'Hour of Code', to highlight investments made in computer science education this month. The Hour of Code event is a one hour coding challenge open to students and their families. The events are free, supported in both Spanish and English and require no professional training. NCESD has offered strategic planning and support for schools and educators, and Microsoft Tech Spark has provided resources and raffle prizes for the event. Wenatchee, Eastmont, Bridgeport, Moses Lake, Quincy and Waterville are some of the school districts participating. The community is encouraged to reach out to their local schools for more details.
