As coronavirus fears grow, efforts to fund the emergency response in Washington D.C. continue.

4th District Republican Dan Newhouse said discussions are continuing between House and Senate representatives as to how much money should be allocated to the problem most representatives seemed to agree the $2.5 billion initially requested from the White House was not enough.

"Some of the numbers that I've heard are probably more in the neighborhood of $4 billion as opposed to $2.5 billion, but I don't think that decision is concrete yet," explained Newhouse.

Newhouse added that he suspects the president is open to a bigger number.
