Okanogan County Public Health Warns of Coronavirus Scam

The Okanogan County Public Health Department is warning residents of a scam hitting the area.

Criminals are trying to use the coronavirus scare to get people to share personal information by calling them and saying they are from the Centers for Disease Control, or the CDC.

Health Officials are saying there are no cases of the virus in Okanogan County, nor is there anyone that is under quarantine or being investigated.

If you receive a call claiming otherwise, hang up and do not provide them any info.

OCPH says they will post to their social media if any case of the coronavirus does hit the area.
