Piepel Will Not Seek Reelection to Eastmont School Board

Eastmont School Board Member Dave Piepel announced during Monday night's meeting that he has decided to not seek reelection by dropping out of the race for his seat.

Piepel has been a member of the school board for four years. The District 4 representative said he reflected on his priorities after the passing of his mother in May, which occurred after his decision to run for reelection.

"I realize that as I go through the seasons of life I want to refocus on what is most important to me and my family." explained Piepel, "I remember my father tell me, before he passed away eleven years ago, that some of his best years were watching his kids perform in their various high school activities."

Pieple added that he wishes the best to his eventual replacement. Charyl Baziak, John Steward Jr. and Joy Dawe are all running for the at-large position.
