National Weather Service meteorologist Joey Clevenger says the advisory was added to the forecast just before 6an Tuesday because of a change in the weather pattern.

Snow accumulations are projected to reach one-to-two inches in Wenatchee, but National Weather Service meteorologist Ken Daniel says there'll be more at higher elevations.

The area is expected to receive 2-4 inches of snow.

Snow accumulation of 3-10 inches is expected with dangerously cold wind chills as low as 45 below zero possible.

Meteorologist Steven Van Horn says the reason for the change is conditions that are now more favorable for snow.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory beginning at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday and lasting through midnight.
