Two Quincy High School students have been expelled and there will be additional police presence for the next few days after threatening images and posts were made on social media.

Assistant Superintendent Nik Bergman sent a letter to parents noting that they were originally approached Wednesday afternoon by a student who showed a picture of a freshman looking in the mirror with what appeared to be a firearm and threatening caption.

That student spoke with police and told them about another who was in possession of a C-O-2 pellet gun that was in the photo. Those two students were expelled.

Another message was found on social media that told students to not go to school due to rumors of a school shooting.

Quincy Police investigated that claim and did not find anything credible.
