The lucky parents of the first baby of 2020 at Three Rivers Hospital will receive new items for their newest addition to the family. Three Rivers Hospital is accepting donations to fill the 'first baby' gift basket as long as the items are new and preferably if the items are gender neutral.

"Just because we don't know which family is going to have the first baby of the new year so we want to make sure anything we give the family will be usable," said Jennifer Best, business development coordinator.

Diapers, wipes, clothing, teething toys, gas card, gift cards and any items that a parent may need are being accepting at the hospital.

"The reason we're doing this is because it's an annual thing, we do this every year, but we're trying to really make this basket spectacular this year because this is our last first baby since we'll be discontinuing OB services this April 1st, 2020," said Best.

Items can be dropped off from 8-4, Monday through Friday. Or folks can call to arrange drop off after 4 p.m.
