The Town Toyota Center in Wenatchee will become a COVID-19 vaccination site beginning next week.

It's part of Governor Jay Inslee's more aggressive vaccination plans which will also include the entire state of Washington moving to the next phase of COVID vaccination.

"And the first tier of Phase 1B is changing so that all Washingtonians who are 65 and older will be eligible to receive a vaccine starting immediately."

It also included people 50 and older who live in multi-generational households.

Governor Inslee has set a statewide goal of vaccinating 45,000 people a day and is enlisting the help of the National Guard to set up and staff vaccine centers.

"Specifically in this first tier we are setting up the following sites that will begin vaccine administration starting next week. At the Spokane Arena in Spokane, the Benton County Fairgrounds in Kennewick, the Town Toyota Center in Wenatchee and the Clark County Fairgrounds in Ridgefield."

Inslee's administration has recently come under fire for being near the bottom of all states in vaccine distribution.
