This month is a busy one for those in the U.S. House of Representatives, as July represents the last time members of the lower chamber will be working together in Washington D.C. until the 2nd of September.

The August Recess provides Representatives the opportunity to campaign in their primary elections, something 4th District Representative Dan Newhouse said has been made a whole lot more challenging with the 'stay home' orders and social distancing directives.

"I can safely say this is probably the strangest campaign season that I've ever seen. And a difficult one," Newhouse said.

Representatives must also be ready to rush back to the Capitol if more emergency legislation is needed.

Newhouse added that might cause members of Congress to have to throw out the rule book on campaigns this year and get creative.

The primary for the November 3rd General Election is August 4th.
