Chelan County Public Works says work on the trestle in the West Cashmere Bridge Replacement project will be halfway done by the end of the week.

In a Facebook post updating the work, the County says SB Structures is using vibration to embed pilings into the riverbed 48 feet apart which will support the trestle from which the new bridge will be built.

The trestle is expected to completed later this summer and consist of six 50-foot long sections.

Public works is reminding boaters or other water recreationists that if they are coming down the river, they will need to stay to the right, or the south side, when going by the project.
