Two Quincy Teens Expelled After Assaulting High School Student in Class
Two Quincy High School students are facing assault charges after they interrupted a classroom in session and beat up another student February 23rd.
Quincy Police Captain Ryan Green said officers spoke to the school's principal and learned the two 15-year-olds initially were banging on a door to an active classroom. When another student opened the door, they immediately began fighting the 14-year-old victim before being separated by a substitute teacher.
"The victim's parents responded to the high school and after discussing the issue with their son, they decided the wanted to press charges," Green said,
Both 15-year-olds were charged with 4th Degree Assault.
Because the suspects are minors and the charge is a misdemeanor, no arrests were made.
The Quincy School District expelled both 15-year-olds.
