The Chelan-Douglas Health District held a press conference at the Town Toyota Center Tuesday to inform the public on the effort to stand up a mass-vaccination site at the TTC.

Administrator Luke Davies said they appreciate the public's patience and kindness as supply chain issues with the federal and state government continue to be the greatest challenge. Online outages, busy phone lines and dropped calls have caused confusion early on for many of those looking to book an appointment.

"We will have a lot of the kinks worked out of our system. It should be a better user experience." explained Davies, "If they need assistance … they can go to prepmod.doh.wa.gov in order to sign up directly, or they can call 1-800-525-0127 and get assistance signing up through there."

Each Sunday at noon, the Prepmod website will open for appointments. Once the Town Toyota Center is completely booked for the following week, the site will close and not reopen until the next Sunday at noon.

Currently, health officials are only finding out how many doses they will receive the following week on Friday. Until vaccine doses become more consistent, appointments for the Town Toyota Center will only be scheduled one week out.

Those that receive the Pfizer vaccine will also need an appointment for their second vaccination roughly 21 days later.
