Wanted Grant County Felony Suspect Caught in Oregon

The Grant County Sheriff's Office is announcing that the subject of an extensive search Tuesday on a large property near Road 2 Northwest and State Route 283 has finally been caught in Oregon.

33-year-old Francisco Javier Nunez was wanted for several felony warrants, including assault, theft and failing to register as a sex offender.

The department says that Nunez was apprehended near Klamath Falls after he ran his car out of gas. An Oregon State Patrol trooper noticed Nunez stranded on the side of the road and pulled over to help, soon discovering Nunez's identity and taking him into custody.
