The Waterville School District is looking for a member of the community to fill an open position on its school board after the resignation of Misty Viebrock several months ago.

Superintendent Tabatha Mires said the board meets about once a month, and the term will run until November of 2021.

Mires said, "We are in the position now where we are asking for applications to come in this month. However, if that's not the case, we certainly would continue to accept applications as the position is open. We're going to be looking at those initial applications August 14th."

The district hopes to conduct interviews in August and have the new board member in place by September.

Applications can be found at the district office. For more information, visit the district website.
