The Wenatchee Rotary Foundation will hold its yearly ‘Auction for the Kids’ at the end of January.

The foundation is focused this year on providing financial assistance for causes such as the YMCA’s outreach to young people, and summer camps for kids.

Auction Co-chair Peter Van Well says donations from the public are still needed to reach their goal of $150,000.

“We’re still interested in anything the community might be willing to offer as far as gift cards, merchandise, businesses in the community,” said Van Well. “We still have some sponsorship availabilities.”

The Rotary Foundation has raised money for over 100 years to improve the quality of life for communities around the world.

The Rotary Foundation's priorities for this year include:

  • Helping the YMCA serve more youth in our valley
  • Providing support for Chelan-Douglas Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA)
  • Continued support of Youth Scholarships through the Wenatchee Rotary Foundation
  • Helping kids enjoy Summer Camp by partnering with Camp Fire/ Camp Zanika

Support the auction in one of the following ways:

  1. Donate an item: Experience: Donate something unique that people will enjoy, a one-of-a kind item, an incredible experience for a couple or small group, or something different that brings the attention of most of the auction guests.
