Wenatchee Wild Announcer Arch Ecker Update

The Wenatchee Wild organization was shaken this week after word that the health of play-by-play announcer Arch Ecker, who suffered serious injuries in a rollover vehicle accident last month, has declined according to family members.

According to a Facebook post, Ecker is being treated at Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane. 

He was injured in an automobile accident while returning home from Spokane in June and was undergoing treatment for his injuries when his conditioned worsened.

Ecker has been the voice of Wild Hockey games for the past five years.  

His sister, and Wild GM Bliss Littler have each asked for thoughts and prayers for Arch during this difficult time.

KPQ is the broadcast affiliate for Wenatchee Wild games and will update the story as more information becomes available on Ecker’s condition.
