2021 Apple Blossom Run Transitions to Virtual Format

The Apple Blossom Run is set up virtually for 2021 with participants having the option to run the 2K, 5K or 10K any time between June 3 and 13. The race will be a virtual experience due to COVID-19 precautions and regulations fluctuating too frequently to set up an in person event.

"These runs take quite a bit of time to plan for and with the uncertainty this year with the pandemic, we weren't sure of an in person run," said Sandy Loomer, organizer. "But we still wanted to participate just as we have over 25 years."

The run is free this year with everyone receiving a medal and t-shirt.

"This has always been a part of the Apple Blossom Festival and also it promotes health and wellness in the community," said Loomer.
