The Washington Interscholastic Activities Association says it's working with schools and leagues to curb the use of racial slurs at games this season.

The Association announced a new Bias Reporting Form Tuesday to let people report discriminatory behavior at athletic events.

Once the form is submitted, the Association says schools involved will be contacted to make sure they've started an investigation.

It's also sent step-by-step procedures for addressing discriminatory harassing behavior to schools and the Washington Officials Association.

Reports of racial slurs at sports events have led to complaints and protests from students and parents in the past few months.

"These kinds of behaviors have no place in our schools and communities and the WIAA encourages, students, spectators, officials, coaches and administrators to help create safe and fair environments for competition," the Association said in a statement.
