Wenatchee Police Captain Brian Chance says the ballistic shield that went missing in November has been returned to the Department.

Capt. Chance says it started with patrol officers working on an unrelated investigation.

"During that investigation they received information on a possible location for the missing ballistic shield. Over the course of the next couple of nights, officers continued to work through a series of anonymous citizens and ultimately the shield was returned."

Capt. Chance says the shield was voluntarily returned so there will be no charges filed.

It was also returned in good working order and has been put back in inventory for use.
