Batterman Fire 100% Contained

The Batterman Road Fire is now 100% contained and management of the blaze is in the hands of local districts.

The Northwest Incident Management Team that has led the fight left Saturday morning and Douglas County Fire District 2, and the Bureau of Land Management will handle mop up duties.

Douglas 2 Chief Brian Brett says they are investigating with a joint force of the two agencies plus the Douglas County Sheriff's Office with more details expected to be available Monday.

Rock Island Grade is also back open for travel.
